Mountain lion spotted in Wunderlich Park

Published on 11/9/2010

A mountain lion was spotted near Woodside Monday afternoon, San Mateo County officials said.

The cat was seen in Wunderlich County Park at about 1:15 p.m., according to the county office of emergency services.

Mountain lions typically do not approach humans. However, residents are advised to stay safe by keeping small children close and avoiding hiking or jogging at dawn, dusk or at night when the cats are most active.
