Man steals $34,000 in cash from victim

A man stole $34,000 in cash from a bag a man was carrying on the 3200 block of Middlefield Road in unincorporated Redwood City yesterday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim stated an unknown Hispanic male wearing all black walked up from behind him and grabbed a bag from his hand containing the cash before fleeing on foot, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect entered a waiting car with where a second suspect was behind the wheel on Sixth Avenue and fled north on Middlefield Road. The vehicle is described as a green Jetta or Honda type vehicle with a fin on the trunk, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
