The owner of business on the 800 block of Airport Boulevard in Moss
Beach heard a noise outside at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. He responded to
the noise and saw a male suspect, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt,
standing on the passenger side of the victim’s car, trying to pry open
the passenger’s-side window of his vehicle with a long screwdriver.
While calling 911, the victim yelled at the suspect, who immediately
ran from the scene, leaving behind a female accomplice, according to
police.
Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate the male suspect upon
their arrival but were able to identify him as Dennis Shane Perry Jr.
through items found in the female suspect’s vehicle. The female
identified herself as Trisha Deghi, according to police.
Other items found in the suspect’s vehicle included burglary
tools, drug paraphernalia and property reported as stolen out of San
Carlos, according to police.
Deghi was arrested and found in possession of a controlled
substance and under the influence of a controlled substance, according
to police.
At 6:50 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a call of a
suspicious person wearing dark pants and sweatshirt walking north on
Airport Boulevard. Deputies arrived at the scene and found the subject
matched the physical description of the prior night’s burglary suspect.
The deputies contacted the attempted burglary victim and he positively
identified the subject as the same person who attempted to break into
his car the night before, according to police.
Perry Jr. was arrested for committing a felony while out on
bail, possession of concentrated cannabis, attempted burglary,
possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
