A mountain lion was spotted in a Burlingame neighborhood Wednesday morning, San Mateo County emergency officials said.
The cat was seen behind a home at 50 Loma Vista Drive, which
borders the San Francisco State Fish and Game Refuge, at about 6:40
a.m., according to the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services.
Residents who see a mountain lion are advised to not approach
it, especially if it is feeding or with offspring. Most mountain lions
will avoid confrontation. The cats are most active at dawn, dusk and at
night.
