A mountain lion was spotted Friday night in an unincorporated area of
San Mateo County, according to the Office of Emergency Services.
The cat was seen at about 9:50 p.m. near Lakeview Way and Woodland Place in the Emerald Lake neighborhood.
Residents are advised not to approach mountain lions, and to try
to appear large and make noise if one is nearby. The cats are most
active at dawn, dusk and at night.
